Keep Looking Forward to the Next Installment!

Having read a great deal of Amish romance, fiction and non fiction, it’s nice to come across a different kind of book. Stoltzfus does an excellent job of making the reader really care and route for the characters in her books! Especially, Jacob, in this particular series, but you also find yourself rooting for the whole family who had taken him in. I have eagerly awaited this part of the series and I hope the next few parts will be coming out soon. If you’re just beginning this series though, I highly recommend starting at the beginning. But beware, there will be times you feel like yelling or throwing up your hands in dismay with some of these characters! It’s a fun read and one I would gladly tell my mom about as well as recommending it to my 12 year old God Daughter.

Heartwarming story of Jacob

Good heartwarming story that really showed how an Englisher teen could fit into an Amish family. My only problem with these books is not the storyline or the way the story was told, but the lack of proofreading of the books. I kept finding mistakes that took my focus off the story. It was very distracting. If that doesn’t bother you, you will love the books and enjoy what happens to Jacob.

Something Missing

This is the first book in this series that I’ve not given a 5 star rating. I just felt something is missing in this book. Maybe not enough time was spent on Jacob’s amnesia problem. Or maybe I just felt the story jumped around too much. Looking forward to the next installment in the story.

Miracle for Jacob

I read all of the books in the Jacob series. I read a book a night. Once I started I couldn’t stop until I was finished. I gave all of them five stars. I love reading the difference between the English Christians and the Amish. It seems we believe a lot alike although I have to admit I wish I were more like them and I am working very hard to get to where they are in their faith. Believing unconditionally.

This has got to be the best Jacob book yet. He’s finally learning and growing up. Even his faith in God is getting stronger. I can’t wait until book 10 comes out!

Liked this book, although I don’t think Thomas would have signed a contract that he had not read completely. Really liked the miracle that Jacob witnessed.
