I really enjoyed this book and I am looking forward to reading the next one in this series! Ruth Price has a very good knowledge of Amish life and was able to pull me into the struggles Amish young adults face! I am waiting to find out whether Katie and Zach will be together in the end.Anyone interested in or familiar with the Amish will find this book an excellent read.

This is the first short story in the series, Amish Faith Through Fire. It’s a story of kids coming of age. Well written and heart warming. Check it out.

Stormy relationship

Posting for all 3 books – the mini series is about the developing relationship between a young couple. The main characters are unhappy with their current life situation and are unsure as to how to live according to the Amish culture. Zach seeks to follow the English culture while Katie is trying to find a way to have him remain Amish. I just felt that the story line was a bit different from the other Amish novels I have read.

Katie and Zack are in love but Zack is no longer satisfied with the Amish life. Katie and his family can not understand why he wants to give up the Amish life. His mother does not understand but wants what best for Zack. Whatever decision he makes, she will support him even if it is not the decision she wants him to make. His father will try everything he can to keep Zack on the farm. Katie is thinking that she maybe able to get him to change his mind but will any of them succeed? Will Zack go against his family and the life he has lived for 17 years?

I chose this book because I enjoy reading anything that discusses God, faith, others’ life style – like the Amish and how they life. This is a very short read, in fact IMO too, too short. It was getting better and and then just ended. I will be reading the remaining books in this series.

I was surprised at the eerie feeling come over me. I was on my seat end waiting for the love concern for this boys future. Family trying to keep you out of danger. Loved the book.

It was very simple and sweet but had some very powerful lessons about life

This was a very interesting and well written book about Amish life. It was very simple and sweet but had some very powerful lessons about life, love, religion and growing up as an Amish woman. The characters were very strong in their faith and love for one another. I would highly recommend it for anyone who doesn’t have a lot of time to read but wants to read for a while, put the book down and come back to it. The chapters make it very easy to do that. I am anxious to read more books by the author.
