Ruth Price is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. Her books are entertaining, her characters are lovely people and I learn more about the Amish ways with each book. Amish Friendship Bread is no exception. It is a story of young men and women coming moving into adulthood and finding their soul mates and as always there is a twist. Sarah and Jebediah are fond of each other and want to begin courting. Always the gentleman and in keeping with the Amish ways Jebediah visits Sarah’s father and makes arrangements to visit Sarah’s home in order to assist her father with some repairs. Openly asking to court someone is not proper but visiting for other reasons – and subsequently courting one other at the same time is proper. And as per usual there is always a third person wanting to interfere. Waneta believes that she and Jebediah should be courting and is continually trying to get in between the young couple. I don’t want to ruin the rest of the story for others so I will leave it at that. I was also very to glad see that the author has included the recipe for Amish Friendship Bread at the end of the book and I am looking forward to trying this recipe and sharing the batter with my friends.

I have enjoyed all that I have read thus far. I began reading the installations 1:1, 1:2, 1:3, and 1:4. I decided to buy the book because I hate getting it in pieces, however was extremely disappointed to buy the book only to learn it goes no further than 1:4. I must say I feel seriously ripped off.

If you want to learn more about the Amish ways and if you want a story with many twists, then Amish Friendship Bread is just right for you. This is about young people growing up and looking for their soulmates, but of course, there is always someone who wants to interfere. The relationship between the the two sisters Fannie and Waneta was very interesting and compelling – great story overall.

The detailed descriptions in this story immediately engaged me. I felt like the storyteller all about me. I could see, hear and smell everything as if it was real.

In this Amish romance, Sarah Lambright returns home to Lancaster from her teaching apprenticeship in Ephrata. Her return is as sweet to her as her mom’s friendship bread until Wenata threatens Sarah’s love for Jebediah Stoltzfus. Will faith, family and new bonds withstand the weight of a heartbreaking lie?

The struggles of an Amish older teenager. Sara had gone through a lot in the last 2 years. Yet I could see her maturity as she makes her decisions when she came back home. I liked the book and how it was written. It’s really a good book! I will have to try the recipes in the back. I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for my honest review

Very interesting!

Enjoyed the story but was distracted by the grammar: words that had no part of the idea of the sentence, mixing up characters’ names. etc. But it didnt ruin the overall book. Looking forward to more!!!
