I loved this MEGABOOK! Just as I love series books, I love MEGABOOKS. They sorta remind me of a mini series that used to run on TV back in the 80’s. You read, and read, and then you are hanging…..by..a…thread……till you are nearly half way thru the next in the series and BOOM you are screaming an expletive. lol ( not really) If you ever read a series book once, You will want to read more and more of them. Happy Reading!!

I love this series. Rachel Stoltzfus really paints a picture with words and you can really picture the setting in your mind. Also her characters come alive off the page.

Heartwarming Amish tales

 on August 10, 2016
By BJE
This was a very fast read and enjoyable stories about a foster child who moved from the city to become an English boy in an Amish home. His trials and tribulations are what makes the stories so interesting. It is a heartwarming look at how an orphan finds love in a family for the first time. Jacob made many changes from the time he left the orphanage to the time he spent in the Amish environment. I could not put them down because I wanted to know what would happen next.

I enjoyed the first 3 books

I enjoyed the first 3 books, although the editing for the Kindle was absolutely terrible – the worst editing I’ve ever experienced with a Kindle book. The last 2 books were much weaker, less interesting and just a disappointment for me. However, it’s worth reading for the experiences a kid in a group home/orphanage experienced and then his response to the Amish culture.

God’s forgotten child

Left at a fire station by his mother, living through the system and in foster homes, Jacob felt that he was unworthy of love and trust. Being sent to an Amish home, he realized that he could have a family who loved him and that is was OK for him to return that love.

Jacob finds a forever home

This series is one of the best that I have read in a while. Following Jacob as he learns to adjust to the Amish way of life and learning to trust God has been a wonderful journey that I’ve truly enjoyed!

I like Amish books but this was a little different . It was amazing how the Amish were so patient with a very “Street Smart” Boy.
